Sound is an intrigal part of this show. In the script there are no real scene transitions except between Act 1 and Act 2. Therefore the focus was primarily on sound effects. Celia Wren of the Washington Post recognized this and said the following reguarding the design elements;
"Griffiths also devised the bleak laboratory set, with its grim metal cage. But these atmospherics would not be complete without Matt Otto's sound design: The tiger-jaws-tearing-into-meat effect will induce shudders in vegetarians and omnivores alike."
All the cues were created using Logic Studio and were played back on two CD players.
