House of Yes provided a completely different opportunity for underscoring. Instead of a heavy use of music we used sound to transition between scenes and inform the world in which the characters inhabit. Through out the 120 minuet play there was about 100 minuets of wind and rain.
When we did use music it was to highlight the more emotionally intense moments of the play like the Ritual and the final scene.
The show was created in Logic 8 and played back entirely with QLab.
